摘要: ABSTRACTThis article explores online social media produced by the neo-jihadist group “Islamic State” (IS) from a political-economic perspective. Using framework developed anthropologist David Harvey, it examines how IS operates within depoliticised neoliberal environments characterised “flexible” regimes of capital accumulation. It explicates acquires evoking “spectacle”, “fashion” and “commodification cultural forms”. Drawing Christian Fuchs’ informational theory, also considers roles agency competition in accumulation processes where “knowledge technology reinforce each other”. By revealing both constitutes is constituted its flexible approach to media, seeks illuminate avenues for better understanding ideations.
