摘要: This section gives a general introduction to Indonesia which is essential for understanding local strategies coping with marginal settlements. The wider national development context and legal framework conditions influence in many ways the of cities urban policies. Three main questions are addressed this section: What trends Indonesia? Which approaches concrete policies concerning informal settlements applied on level? characteristics To begin with, country including its administrative levels but focusing socio-economic disparities (economy, population, poverty, migration) provided.
