摘要: Advances in aircraft design have facilitated to the development of relatively low cost, high performance, light weight jet known as very jets (VLJs). The Federal Aviation Administration's prediction 4,500 VLJs flying by 2016 suggests that this concept may become a major contributing factor for gridlock National Airspace System WAS) (Robinson and Planzer, 2005). With added burden, need effective emergency response at general aviation airports will continue increase. This study investigated level preparedness small state Indiana service measured attitudes airport managers regarding perceived risks VLJ operations. Findings suggest believe smaller are prepared handle growth traffic generally not concerned with increasing planning. concludes recommendations enhancements certified under Part 139.
