摘要: ABSTRACT This paper examines the contribution of franchising to economic development in Africa. It is based on a recent questionnaire/interview survey 52 systems (franchisors and franchisees) South Africa, Egypt, Morocco, Cote d'lvoire done for African Development Bank. The explores role promotion entrepreneurship, employment creation, transfer technologies know-how, innovation, generation foreign exchange earnings, poverty alleviation, enhancement saving. Franchising defined here as business format (excluding thereby pure trademark franchising, which rights company identity would not be accompanied by product itself; processes, specific training, etc.). study concludes that franchised has experienced very strong growth, especially it contributes significantly technology transfers, alleviation.
