摘要: We introduce a new approach to investigate the selection rules governing contributions of fluxed M5-instantons F-theory four-dimensional effective action, with emphasis on generation charged matter F-terms. The structure such couplings is unraveled by exploiting perturbative and non-perturbative homological relations, introduced in our companion paper [1], which encode interplay between self-dual 3-form flux M5-brane, background 4-form certain fibral curves. latter are wrapped time-like M2-branes representing insertions instanton path integral. In particular, we clarify how detect presence geometrically massive U(1)s responsible for ‘hidden’ rules. discuss non-generic embeddings M5-instanton can probe ‘locally massless’ U(1) symmetries if rank its Mordell-Weil group enhanced compared that bulk.
