摘要: While the implementation of multi-modality neoadjuvant therapy for treatment head and neck cancer has resulted in an improvement local regional control, there been a resultant increase reported incidence distant metastasis. This shift pattern patient failure highlights importance identifying patients at high risk developing metastasis, accurately detecting improving strategies advanced disease. Currently, metastatic lesions from primaries portend poor prognosis; however, molecular biologic techniques offer promising approach to diagnosis micrometastasis lesions. The identification tumor-specific gene mutations cell surface antigens may play key role future management cancer. following review outlines just several current issues related contemporary neck.
