摘要: The effect of all human activities in marine and coastal ecosystems, including pollution, depleted fisheries, biodiversity, is insufficiently assessed. As such, it widely recognized that there an evident lack information which must be tackled immediately. Part the problem should addressed by increasing monitoring. However, considering vast areas to cover characterize, as well amount generated, innovative approaches are required increase knowledge about ecosystem variables effectively support decision process, so a more sustainable exploitation resources can reached. Geostatistics may represent interesting approach use, since probabilistic technique able deal with spatial behavior their heterogeneities. This paper dedicated review critical analysis existing works already include geostatistics prediction techniques maritime problems, order ascertain its potential relevance context current challenges.
