摘要: The sodium chlorate production process is run in large electrolysers where electrolyte flows between the electrodes due to natural convection from hydrogen gas evolution. A brief review given of electrolytic generation at electrode surfaces and previous studies. small, enclosed rectangular cell was used electrolyse both a Na2SO4 NaCl/NaClO3 solution, order produce oxygen bubbles one or electrodes. two-phase flow regimes, bubble sizes, fraction fluid velocities were investigated using microscope enhanced visualisation, laser doppler velocimetry particle image velocimetry. practicality each measuring methods analysed it concluded that most robust method for such systems. experimental results are discussed conclusions drawn relating evolution hydrodynamics flowing through narrow vertical channel. major systems with can transform laminar turbulent behaviour, throughout length cell, turbulence behaviour exist across channel same horizontal plane.
