摘要: Abstract In this study, the potential of amphiphilic diblock copolymers on example polystyrene- b -poly(4-vinylpyridine) (PS- -P4VP) and poly(4-methylstyrene)- (P4mS- for producing open-celled foams was evaluated. The porous foam structure realised by employing carbon dioxide water as environmental-friendly blowing agents. Rheological measurements in shear elongation revealed a similar strain-softening behaviour melt state. transient elongational viscosity P4mS homopolymer agreed with linear viscoelastic prediction. On contrary, employed PS showed strain-hardening. rheological homopolymers is consistent their foaming ability. led to homogeneous, closed cell structure, while did not at all. Because elongation, PS- -P4VP copolymer generated throughout whole sample. contrast, P4mS- partially structures coexistence compact areas. work, it demonstrated that combination even if major component block generates homogeneous closed-celled or foamable, respectively.
