摘要: Background As the sole freshwater subspecies of finless porpoise (Neophocaena phocaenoides), Yangtze (N. p. asiaeorientalis) lives only in middle and lower reaches River its appended Poyang Dongting Lakes. As a result human activity on river, including over illegal fishing, pollution, transportation dam construction, population porpoises has been steadily rapidly decreasing during past several decades, which leads animal to be endangered.
