摘要: Delayed cerebral ischaemia has been described as the single most important cause of morbidity and mortality in patients who survive initial aneurysmal subarachnoid haemorrhage. Our understanding pathophysiology delayed is meagre at best calcium channel blocker nimodipine remains only intervention to consistently improve functional outcome after There substantial evidence support vessel narrowing a causative factor ischaemia, but contemporary research demonstrating improvements failed show improved outcomes. This encouraged researchers investigate other potential causes such early brain injury, microthrombosis, cortical spreading depolarisation. Adherence common definition needed order allow easier assessment studies using multiple different terms. Furthermore, recognition would not for faster treatment also better interventions. Finally, nimodipine’s mechanism action may us develop similar agents with efficacy.
