摘要: We investigated the apparent spatial layout of cast shadows up to very wide fields view. presented 130° images in which two ‘flat poles’ were standing on a green lawn under cloudless blue sky sunny day. The poles threw sharp green, one was fixed. observer's task adjust azimuth shadow other pole such that it fitted scene. source elevation kept constant. are, course, parallel physical space, but generically not picture plane because perspective. found observers made huge systematic errors, indicating that, generically, they fail account for these perspective effects. deviations could be well described by weighted linear combination directions and with weights depended positions of, distance between, poles.
