Implementing an ally development model to promote safer schools for LGB youth: a trans-disciplinary approach

摘要: Lesbian, gay, and bisexual (LGB) students experience ongoing bullying, harassment, lack of safety in school. Specialized instructional support personnel (SISPs), such as school counselors, social workers, psychologists, are a unique position to advocate for LGB implement an ally development model. The purpose this article is describe the current climate students, discuss barriers facing SISPs advocating change, provide model use at each level K–12 system.
