Congestive heart failure with normal systolic function

摘要: Although there have been isolated reports of congestive heart failure (CHF) with normal systolic function, the prevalence and characteristics this condition not previously described. Accordingly, 188 patients CHF undergoing radionuclide ventriculography were prospectively evaluated. Sixty-seven (36%) had a ejection fraction (EF) 0.45 or greater, 121, an abnormal EF less than 0.45. Of these, 72 (55 [group I] 17 II]) also reviewed for clinical characteristics.
