摘要: The addition of methotrexate to treatment protocols in children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia has been found beneficial preventing central nervous system relapse. However, MTX itself may be associated neurologic morbidities, the most significant which is leukoencephalopathy. present study describes clinical spectrum leukoencephalopathy, ranges from a subclinical disease manifested only radiologically progressive, devastating encephalopathy. interaction other components protocol discussed, as effect leucovorin. A summary presented metabolic pathways that involved development toxicity. Researchers are still seeking biochemical marker aid determination amount safely administered.
