摘要: Abstract Structural style, supplemented by magnetic and petrofabric strain studies, suggests that the Kangra recess is result of combined frontal oblique thrust ramps, which were initiated as a listric normal fault during pre-Himalayan tensional phase later reactivated Himalayan orogeny. The displacement out tectonic transport plane has resulted in formation pull-apart basin parallel to ramp. shear associated with faulting was accommodated within narrow zone characterized presence salt. structures hanging wall developed combination simple pure shear. orientations folds controlled interference patterns between simultaneously developing folds, ramp structures. There no marker horizon across Main Boundary Thrust (MBT) could be used measure amount displacement, but method based on geometry proposed estimate strike-slip along indicates horizontal ∼33.5 km MBT, corresponds well other geological data. A sequence stages structural evolution area proposed.
