摘要: Intercellular adhesion molecule 1 (ICAM-1) is a 90 kd inducible surface glycoprotein that promotes in immunological and inflammatory reactions. ICAM-1 ligand of lymphocyte function-associated antigen-1 (LFA-1), an alpha beta complex member the integrin family cell-cell cell-matrix receptors. encoded by 3.3 kb mRNA. The amino acid sequence specifies integral membrane protein with extracellular domain 453 residues containing five immunoglobulin-like domains. Highest homology found neural cell (NCAM) myelin-associated (MAG), which also contain Ig-like NCAM MAG are nervous system molecules, but unlike ICAM-1, homophilic. LFA-1 interaction heterophilic unusual it between members immunoglobulin intergrin families. Unlike other ligands, does not RGD sequence.
