摘要: A linear and non-crosslinked polymer, EDTA-linked chitosan (ED-ch), was synthesized by N-acylation of with EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) monoanhydride under acidic to slightly basic aqueous conditions. The degree substitution (D.S.) residues in the product changeable depending on stoichiometry acylation reagent, structure confirmed elemental analysis, FT-IR, 1H 13C NMR spectroscopy. newly introduced functional group ED-ch provided properties such as being a strong chelating reagent an amphoteric polyelectrolyte. It found that had good water solubility both regions precipitated narrow pH region. Applicability removal heavy metal ions flocculation proven model experiment using 10 ppm Cu(II) solution. simple procedure, mixing D.S. 41% 70%, subsequent adjustment (4.5 2.5) centrifugal separation flocs formed, shown remove almost completely from residual concentration after these flocculation/separation process reached 0.03 ppm.
