摘要: Growth hormone release is under tight control by two hypothalamic hormones: growth hormone-releasing and somatostatin. In addition, synthetic secretagogues have also been shown to regulate through the secretagogue receptor (GHS-R), suggesting existence of an additional physiological regulator for release. To understand role GHS-R in more detail, we mapped expression mRNA situ hybridization RNase protection assays using rat human tissues. brain, major signals were detected multiple nuclei as well pituitary gland. Intense observed dentate gyrus hippocampal formation. Other brain areas that displayed localized discrete include CA2 CA3 regions hippocampus, substantia nigra, ventral tegmental area, dorsal median raphe nuclei. resemblance results from tissues revealed specific pituitary, hypothalamus hippocampus. Moreover, a weak signal was noted pancreas. The demonstration localization consistent with its regulating other central peripheral may implicate involvement yet undefined functions.
