摘要: Infective endocarditis describes a family of persistent microbial infections the heart valves. This chapter explores their ability to behave as endogenous pathogens and is instructive we try understand persistence larger constellation endocarditis-associated pathogens. generally occurs in individuals with previously diseased or damaged valves, most frequently after bacteremia containing viridans streptococci Staphylococcus aureus. Many common microorganisms associated infective are considered be low virulence, often causing no known disease native niches. Patients show elevated anti-phospholipid antibodies endothelial-cell activation, thrombin generation, impairment fibrinolysis. Adhesion platelets preformed platelet-fibrin clots would appear intuitively microbes infect platelet vegetations cause endocarditis. Dextran synthesis by has been suggested virulence factor endocarditis, promoting adhesion persistence. The induce aggregation vitro may pathogenicity those strains host distinguishes commensals from exogenous When breach mucosa valves immune repertoire against these programmed for systemic tolerance.
