摘要: Human uveal melanoma (UM) is a major ocular malignant tumor with high risk of metastasis and requires multiple oncogenic factors for progression. ZEB1 zinc finger E-box binding transcription factor known participating epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT), critical cellular event tumors epithelium origin. also expressed in UM expression correlates advancement, but has little effect on cell morphology. We show that spindle cells can become epithelioid not vice versa; exerts its tumorigenic effects by promoting dedifferentiation, proliferation, invasiveness, dissemination. provide evidence binds only to repress genes involving pigment synthesis, mitosis, adherent junctions, transactivate matrix degradation locomotion propel progression towards metastasis. conclude required could be potential therapeutic target treating the clinic.
