摘要: University of Washington seismic data taken during ROSE phase 1 have been used to study the structure East Pacific Rise in vicinity 12°N. Off axis but within 50 km we find that oceanic crust can be modeled with a rapid change velocity top 2.5 km, zone low uniform gradient from about 5.5 and transitional thick mantle material. There is also evidence for substantial anisotropy gradients, positive spreading direction negative parallel rise. Under rise allow at most very narrow (less than 2 wide) crust.
