摘要: Engineering compact imaging probes with highly integrated modalities is a key focus in bionanotechnology and will have profound impact on molecular diagnostics, therapeutics. However, combining multiple components nanometre scale to create new unavailable from individual has proven be challenging. In this paper, we demonstrate iron oxide gold-coupled core-shell nanoparticles (NPs) well-defined structural characteristics (for example, size, shell thickness separation) physical properties electronic, magnetic, optical, thermal acoustic). The resulting multifunctional nanoprobes not only offer contrast for electron microscopy, magnetic resonance scattering-based but, more importantly, enable mode, magnetomotive photoacoustic imaging, remarkable enhancement compared images using conventional NP agents.
