摘要: Dengue virus (DENV) is an emerging mosquito-borne human pathogen that affects millions of individuals each year by causing severe and potentially fatal syndromes. Despite intense research efforts, no approved vaccine or antiviral therapy yet available. Overcoming this limitation requires detailed understanding the intimate relationship between its host cell, providing basis to devise optimal prophylactic therapeutic treatment options. With advent novel high-throughput technologies including functional genomics, transcriptomics, proteomics, lipidomics, new important insights into DENV replication cycle interaction with cell have been obtained. In chapter, we provide a comprehensive overview on current status field, covering every step viral particular focus virus-host interaction. We will also review specific chemical inhibitors targeting cellular factors processes relevance for their possible exploitation development next generation antivirals.
