Behavioral and Emotional Symptoms of Children and Adolescents with Prader-Willi Syndrome

摘要: To examine the behavioral and emotional difficulties of 73 children adolescents with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS), mental retardation-only, dual diagnosis (i.e., retardation psychiatrically disordered) on Devereux Scales Mental Disorders (DSMD: Naglieri, LeBuffe, & Pfeiffer, (DSMD) San Antonio, TX: PsychCorp 1994). Multivariate analyses "Italic">d-ratios were computed to assess statistical clinically meaningful differences between pairs samples. The PWS sample exhibited statistically significant higher levels psychopathology than mentally-retarded-only Total, Externalizing, Internalizing, Attention/Delinquency, Conduct, Anxiety, Acute Problems Scales. When compared dually-diagnosed sample, had comparable psychopathology, but lower depression. Results revealed that represents a highly unique complex psychological disorder multiple areas disturbances.
