摘要: Abstract Rats were trained to perform a conditioned avoidance response (conditioned stimulus—light; unconditioned stimulus—electric shock) with bilateral sensory input and in conditions allowing the major component of either or both relevant stimuli be directed one cerebral hemisphere. Subsequent application spreading depression hemisphere case bilaterally animals receiving (‘trained’ hemisphere) after unilateral training gave rise drastically impaired performance. Performance was also when not (‘untrained’ depressed though same extent. The differential effect depressing “trained” “untrained” hemispheres quantitatively dependent upon whether neither, inputs lateralized.
