摘要: Recessive lethals on the second chromosome were extracted from genetically isolated populations in Australia and U.K. The frequency of allelism, used a manner analogous to capture-recapture animal populations, indicated that number genes capable mutating lethal had 95 per cent probability being range 247 1140, although excluding possible heterotic synthetic altered this 309 3568. Possible sources bias are discussed. disagreement between these values those obtained direct measurements DNA (more than 10 times greater) is clear. It suggested many eukaryotes have been duplicated by unequal exchange during recombination occur functionally related groups or supergenes. Some consequences hypothesis population genetics noted.
