摘要: Defects after extirpation of either sacral or rectal tumors often present a reconstructive challenge to plastics surgeons. Because their relative infrequency, management guidelines, in the authors' opinion, have been overlooked. They think that successful, comprehensive treatment lends itself an integrated team approach. review experience with immediate reconstruction total sacrectomy for malignancies performed between 1996 and 2001. Medical records were reviewed retrospectively surgical procedure, postoperative complications, eventual outcome. A 9 patients underwent gluteus maximus flap reconstruction. Six had simultaneous omental complete obliteration defect. The suggests this combination techniques is reliable approach these extensive defects.
