摘要: from organics, both requiring removal. To deal with the problem of odor, powdered activated carbon (PAC) most commonly has been selected. A recent survey conducted by two committees AWWA1 shown that approximately 25 per cent 645 US utilities were surveyed use PAC. While is predominantly for odor control, removals nonodorous compounds also may take place. The major advantages PAC are it can effectively remove cheaper than granular carbon, and extensive plant-construction costs not required in order to it. simply be fed into existing treatment basins provide necessary contact removal undesired contaminants.
