摘要: The Cu(II) complexes of type [Cu(cpf)(An)Cl] (An = terpyridines, cpf ciprofloxacin) were synthesized and characterized using IR, mass reflectance spectra. free ligands their evaluated for in-vitro antimicrobial activity against a panel Gram-positive Gram-negative bacteria. exhibit better or equal inhibition in comparison to fluoroquinolones. Binding interactions the with calf thymus (CT DNA) investigated by absorption titration, viscosity studies DNA melting temperature experiment. cleavage reaction on pUC19 was monitored agarose gel electrophoresis. lower concentration catalysed dismutation superoxide radical at biological pH, which indicates that can act as possible model dismutase.
