This paper proposes a new architecture sustainability-oriented agricultural policy that aims to secure public goods, conserve nature and protect the environment while at same time fostering transition sector face challenges maintaining competitiveness open markets global value chains. proposed consists seven elements: EU-wide premiums basic climate protection measures; semi-automated landscape diversity; continuation voluntary farm-level agri-environment-climate ‘nature cooperation programme’ integrated resource management regional level; an innovation initiative sustainability-based value-added consumer competence; enhanced regulatory minimum standards their enforcement; accompanying investments infrastructure, technology, research knowledge transfer. could be introduced gradually by 2027.
