摘要: Summary Indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) promoted elongation and cell wall loosening of outer tissue intact segments from squash ( Cucurbita maxima Duch.) hypocotyls. On the other hand, when segment was separated into inner tissues then incubated, isolated slightly shrank did not elongate, while one rapidly elongated. IAA affect either growth or mechanical properties walls tissues. In segments, significantly incorporation radioactivity [ 14 C]glucose fractions without affecting uptake but it promote that tissue. tissue, substantially inhibited distribution incorporated fractions. IAA, however, barely affected in These results suggest primarily stimulates synthesis certain polysaccharides irrespective being isolated, stimulation to extent is directly involved processes
