摘要: • Ophthalmoplegia is rarely observed in patients with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). We describe a patient ALS whom ophthalmoplegia, initially appearing midway her course, progressed to total paralysis of extraocular movements by the time death. In addition usual postmortem findings brain stem and spinal cord, there was extensive neuronal loss gliosis involving caudal portions dorsal intermediate components oculomotor nuclei, part trochlear abducens nuclei. This represents first detailed report nuclei cranial nerves III, IV, VI ophthalmoplegia.
