摘要: Internal solitary waves (ISWs) are observed 2 times within 30 min in synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image pairs from the Envisat and ERS-2 tandem satellites. Three of SAR images were acquired South China Sea (SCS) April 2007, August 2008, March 2009, 13 ISWs tracked between pair an ArcGIS environment. The phase speeds these calculated their spatial displacement time interval. resultant ISW agree well with theoretical values estimated Sturm-Louisville equation using local bathymetric monthly climatology ocean stratification data. This technique reveals variation speed water depth 100 4000 m SCS. study shows that is mainly affected by bottom topography generally decreases deep to shallow east west south north.
