摘要: Although recognition of an association among hyperuricemia, kidney disease and cardiovascular dates to the late 19th century (1), there has been a recent resurgence in investigating between uric acid levels these outcomes (2-7). Data from other physiological experiments observational studies suggest that may be causal relationships interspersed within associations acid, chronic (CKD) disease; however, convincing evidence remains elusive due methodologic statistical issues complicate study its determinants confounders. In this issue American Journal Kidney Diseases, two cohort examine relationship hyperuricemia absence clinical gout with CKD (8) (9), respectively, support hypothesis asymptomatic is risk factor.
