Peritoneal Dialysis in the Developing World: The Mexican Scenario

摘要: In the developing countries it is not possible to determine total amount of money spent in treatment chronic diseases, and practice renal replacement therapies faces many obstacles. Mexico, introduction continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis cycling (CCPD) achieved very good results. Unfortunately, disease still affected as much 95% failure patients became a disaster with an annual mortality rate higher than 60%. This was known Mexican Model which failed establishing only procedure for treating patients. order avoid similar scenario 2 therapies, we created Official Norm hemodialysis, now are experimenting increase from 5% 20% hemodialysis who receiving therapy, principally private units that attend Social Security addition, government has established Council Transplantation acts regulatory board. other words, process making diseases priority within National Program.
