摘要: Classical conditioning and conditioned inhibition are fundamental for cognitive processes in both animals humans. Conditioned is involved a wide range of normal behaviour – its disruption could produce behavioural deficits. For example, lack inhibitory control has been argued to lie at the core impulsivity (Buss & Plomin, 1975). Impulsivity one features some clinical groups, such as schizophrenic patients with cluster B personality disorders (PD), especially PD within forensic populations (Hare et al., 1991; Munro 2007). Previous research studied by using laboratory learning tasks (e.g. Go-NoGo tasks). People higher have difficulty withholding responding which demonstrated poor performances these tasks. Such measured participants’ ability inhibit pre-potent motor responses, usually thought involve stimulus-response (S-R) association. To date, little explored stimulus-stimulus (S-S) associations (formally ‘conditioned inhibition’, CI) relation individual differences, no explicitly examined CI any groups. The present study developed suitable procedure examine human summation test performance differences disorders. Two hundred thirty-seven participants University Nottingham completed set questionnaires [BIS/BAS, UPPS, EPQ-RS, O-LIFE (short) STB] assess their computer-based experiment excitatory learning. The results suggested various correlations between scores measures learning, confirmed that impulsivity, neuroticism schizotypy levels, less evidence At same time, anxiety, inhibition. Twenty-five community-based 24 settings were also tested task. showed clear reduction performance. Moreover, negative on PANSS, perform worse Rampton hospital, effect was abolished samples. There significant difference DSPD units. Specifically unit significantly CI. Within samples used study, it unable demonstrate relationship levels medication. Implications findings dimensions affect groups would be discussed, further this thesis.
