摘要: Macrophage migration inhibitory factor (MIF) is an inflammatory cytokine that has been reported to enhance the aggressiveness and metastatic potential of tumor cells. However, mechanisms through which MIF influences development progression are not understood. The objectives our study were assess effects tumor-derived on neutrophils in head neck cancer (HNC) identify possible feedback To this end, we used vitro system model interaction between human HNC cells neutrophils. In addition, analyzed expression tissues from patients relation neutrophilic infiltration clinical parameters. Our results show infiltrated by proportional levels tumoral MIF. Strong associated with higher lymph node metastasis reduced survival patients. vitro, modulated functions inducing chemokine CXC motif receptor 2(CXCR2)-dependent chemotaxis, enhancing neutrophil promoting release C-C Motif Ligand 4 (CCL4) matrix metalloprotease 9(MMP9). Further, activated enhanced migratory properties conclusion, data indicate represent additional mechanism might contribute progression.
