摘要: Sodium- l -thyroxine (T4) was utilized in the treatment of 15 pediatric patients with hypothyroidism. Adequacy replacement therapy confirmed by clinical evaluation conjunction determination serum thyroxine, tri-iodothyronine, and thyrotropin concentrations. Daily dose thyroxine capable inducing biochemical euthyroidism ranged from 2.5 to 5 μg/kg body weight a mean 3.5±0.3 μg 4- 17-year-old age group. Two infants congenital hypothyroidism diagnosed before 10 days thrived normally 50 daily. These observations imply that physiologic requirements are distinctly lower than previously recommended dosages. Further studies establish more precise therapeutic guidelines needed.
