摘要: The authors have analyzed and measured the dispersion effects of residual chirp arising from asymmetry in field overlap Mach-Zehnder structures. A clear influence was seen at 7 Gb/s a propagation length 75-km nondispersion shifted fiber lambda =1.55 mu m. It is shown that MZ-modulator with one arm only operated blue-shift mode best choice for single coplanar stripline (CPS) electrode MZ-modulators this case. Calculations good agreement results. This indicates simple model can be used together FFT-algorithm calculating effect external modulators multigigabit dispersive fiber-optic systems. >
