摘要: HEADTOME III, a high quantitation and resolution positron emission tomograph (PET) has been developed. III was basically designed as brain PET of 3 rings 5 planes. Each ring (75 cm diam) consists 160 BGOs (13.4 x 25 40 mm). Shadow masks septa can be used independently, corresponding to low (LR) mode (HR), (LQ) (HQ) respectively. Planar resolutions at the center field view (FOV) were 8.2 6.5 mm FWHM in LR an HR, Deterioration 8 radius 0.6 0.8 FWHM. Slice thicknesses 12.8 9.1 FOV with LQ HQ, respectively, its deviation being 1.1 over each, 0.1 difference between direct cross planes mode. Sensitivities, true events for Ga-68 20 diam cylinder, 32(68), 17(33), 18 9 kcps/ (..mu..Ci/ml) (cross) LRLQ, HRLQ, LRHQ HRHQ, Count rates declined 10% 30 kcps per plane but recovered up 100 kcpsmore » within 5% error by software correction using random coincidence events. Scattered fraction after corrected subtracting mean outside sinogram 10 3% reconstructed images Long term stability evaluated calibration factor checked weekly last half year 1.9% COV average 2.2% maximum plane. These data imply that permits accurate analysis tracer kinetics.« less
