CHANGES IN THE REPORTED PREVALENCE OF CHILDHOOD ECZEMA SINCE THE 1939-45 WAR

摘要: Rates of reported eczema during early childhood were studied in 3 national cohorts children born 1946, 1958, and 1970. Overall rates rose from 5.1% to 7.3% those 12.2% the 1970 cohort. In 1958 there was a positive association between breastfeeding. This relationship remained significant after allowing for parental history allergy socioeconomic status. Social classes I II 1946 less likely be as having eczema, compared with lower social classes, whereas into higher had rates. These findings may reflect secular changes diagnosis or represent real increase disorder. The breastfeeding more recent suggests new environmental agent crossing breast-milk. agent(s) well other infant foods, since rate non-breastfed 5.7% 11.1%
