摘要: Propolis was included in the Argentine Food Code as a functional food. The chemical parameters and antioxidant properties of propolis samples from same colonies Apis mellifera San Juan (Cuyo region, Western Argentine) were compared every month for 1 year using two collection methods. Chemical analyzed by spectrophotometric method fingerprinting high-performance liquid chromatography with ultraviolet detection. activities measured model systems including analysis scavenging 2,2'-azino-bis(3-ethylbenzthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radicals beta-carotene bleaching assay. results showed that had higher free radical lipid peroxidation inhibitory capacity than butylated hydroxytoluene quercetin, antioxidants used pharmaceutical food industries. concentration required to scavenge 50% (SC(50)) values differed depending on sample month. Samples collected November highest capacity. In all cases, SC(50) obtained scraping similar those wire mesh (5 microg/mL ABTS 20-30 DPPH radicals). A significant positive correlation found between flavonoid content each extract. profiles very similar. Galangin (3,5,7-trihydroxyflavone), an compound, detected major compound. chromatographic profile suggests Baccharis sp., which would be one botanical sources western Argentina, galangin can parameter evaluating quality. Our suggest Cuyo is promising source bioactive compounds ingredients developing foods beneficial impact oxidative stress.
