摘要: The present technology is generally directed to horizontal heat recovery coke ovens having monolith crowns. In some embodiments, an HHR oven includes a crown that spans the width of between opposing sidewalls. expands upon heating and contracts cooling as single structure. further comprises thermally volume-stable material. various thermally-volume-stable features can be used in combination or alone. These designs allow turned down below traditionally feasible temperatures while maintaining structural integrity crown.
