Considering Social Cohesion in Quality of Life Assessments: Concept and Measurement

摘要: In recent years, the concept of social cohesion has received great attention in scientific research as well politics. It represents a central policy goal at national and supranational level declared for example by many documents European Union. The present paper integrates into components quality life distinguishes two essential dimensions inherent concept: inequality dimension capital dimension. first incorporates goals reducing disparities, promoting equal opportunities combating exclusion, while second deals with all aspects aiming strengthening relations, interactions ties. A proposal is made on how to measure this conceptualisation within framework System Social Indicators, some examples indicators Europe are discussed.
