摘要: A method for biomimetically preparing titanium oxide precipitates with specific morphologies. According to one embodiment, designed peptides that are 5-20 amino acids long used as initiators cause the precipitation of from a buffered aqueous solution containing precursor, such titanium(IV) bis(ammonium lactate) dihydroxide. The consist hydrophilic at neutral pH, serine, and cationic lysine arginine. sequences induce formation morphologies including, but not limited to, spheres, rectangular blocks, cubes, porous sheets, non-porous flowers. enables distinct consistent without need high temperatures pressures or caustic reaction conditions. This, in turn, allows presence environmentally sensitive materials limits hazardous waste streams.
