摘要: Thailand (Siam) has transformed ancient methods of keepint track subjects, and adopted modern legislative principles using documentary evidence to discriminate between citizens outsiders. In the process, it shaped a complex hierarchical structure with differentiated layers citizenship, where some groups exist beyond any legal space. At same time, evolved from society subjects paid tribute sovereigns, into democratic polity entitlement is determined through identity documentation.
