摘要: Computed color indices and spectral shapes for individual stars are routinely compared with observations essentially all types, but absolute fluxes rarely tested. We can confront observed irradiances the predictions from model atmospheres a few accurate angular diameter measurements, notably Sun. Previous calculations have been hampered by inconsistencies use of outdated atomic data abundances. I provide here progress report on our current efforts to compute solar photospheres. Uncertainties in composition constitute significant source error computing radiative fluxes.
