摘要: Gallium-67 scanning was evaluated in 100 patients with proved carcinoma of the lung. It valuable separating primary from secondary lung tumors, determining extent contralateral hilar or mediastinal lymph node involvement, and detecting distant organ metastases. In addition to multiplane whole-body Ga-67 tomographic scanning, colloid liver scans, bone computerized axial tomography scans brain were obtained determine presence metastasis. The gallium scan detected 11 12 occult metastases identified 7 liver, 9 14 brain, 4 soft tissues, 1 lung, accurately excluded extrathoracic metastatic disease examined postmortem within three months a scan. An approach is recommended using along chest roentgenograms for clinical staging preoperative evaluation Specific should be reserved occasional symptomatic patient negative clarification an indeterminate
