摘要: Object. Carotid angioplasty with stent placement has been proposed as an alternative method for revascularization of carotid artery (CA) stenosis. A novel a coiled sheet design (NexStent; EndoTex Interventional Systems, Inc., Cupertino, CA) introduced because it provides improved flexibility over conventional tubular designs during navigation through tortuous arterial segments. The authors report the results multicenter study in which they evaluated safety, feasibility, and effectiveness this treatment CA Methods. Enrollment was limited to patients 70% or more symptomatic asymptomatic stenosis internal CA. primary end point technically successful implantation procedure (delivery target site retrieval delivery device) resulting less than 30% residual on angiograms obtained immediately postprocedure no death ipsilateral stroke after within 30 days following ...
